DVA Annual Membership Meeting Minutes June 22, 2025
President Todd Johnson called the meeting to order at 1:45 PM at the residence of Bill Granville, located at 17947 Deschutes Dr SE, Yelm, WA 98597.
Board members in attendance were President Todd Johnson, Vice President Tom Zweiger, Treasurer Holly Wilson, Secretary Burke Rife, and Trustees James Bernard, Ken Shandrow, and Roger Snider.
A quorum was not established, with 19 voting members present and 2 votes submitted by proxy.
Driftwood Valley Association (DVA) President Todd Johnson welcomed the members, provided a summary of the year’s completed tasks, and expressed appreciation for everyone’s volunteer contributions.
Secretary Report:
The minutes from the June 23, 2024, Annual Membership Meeting were distributed by mail. No vote on any amendments will be conducted at this time. Due to the lack of a quorum, the motion was not completed and will be addressed at the August special meeting.
Treasurer Report:
Holly Wilson presented the budget, including balances in both the general and reserve accounts. However, no vote was taken to adopt the finalized budget due to the lack of a quorum. The motion will be carried forward and voted on during the August special meeting.
Old Business:
Security cameras are scheduled to be installed in July 2025. The cameras will be positioned to monitor the blue gate and the roadway leading from the mailboxes.
As a reminder, the gate is equipped with an automatic sensor—simply driving past it will trigger the gate to open.
New Business:
Reminders and Updates:
Property owners are reminded that it is their responsibility to trim limbs and other foliage extending from their property into the right-of-way.
The community sign is scheduled for a refresh within the next two months. It will be reinforced with new support and repainted.
Board Elections:
President Todd Johnson announced that two board member terms are expiring. However, due to the lack of a quorum, the election could not be held and will be completed at the 2nd of August 2025.
Special Note:
We are saddened to share that Debra Carpenter, wife of former board member and President Terry Carpenter, has recently passed away. Terry has invited all community members to join in celebrating her life on June 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A service will be held at 12:00 PM.
Next meeting will be on 2nd of August 2025

President Todd Johnson called the meeting to order at 2:00 PM at the residence of Bill Granville, located at 17947 Deschutes Dr SE, Yelm, WA 98597.
Board members in attendance were President Todd Johnson, Vice President Tom Zweiger, Treasurer Holly Wilson, Secretary Burke Rife, and Trustees James Bernard and Roger Snider. Not in attendance Ken Shandrow.
A quorum was established, with 13 voting members present and 11 votes submitted by proxy.

New board member Mr. Corey Blankenship was elected to a 3-year term.
Board member Mr. Burke Rife was reelected to a 3-year term.
